Awards & Endorsements

From winning the CIPR’s ‘Young Communicator of the Year’ in 1992, I have always used award entries as a way of reflecting on success, boosting team morale and positioning teams within the sector. I have many accolades for my work, the most recent of which are set out here:

Endorsements

Georgia has excellent political nous and became a valued, trusted strategic communications advisor who I could always rely on to bring creativity, perspective and challenge to any situation. We worked closely on a number of often controversial regeneration projects and Georgia consistently ensured quality communications and reputation management support in often challenging circumstances

Bill Cotton, Corporate Director, Oxfordshire County Council

Georgia is a leading light in the field of communications. A force to be reckoned with, the utmost professional and one of the most talented and creative industry leaders I have had the pleasure of working with. Passionate about best practice and not afraid of being innovative, Georgia has excelled in all comms disciplines, management and leadership.

Rachael Mills, Head of Communications and Engagement, Marine Management Organisation

Georgia’s contribution to Dorset’s structural change programme was significant as we became an early adopter of the new national policy reform. Georgia led the consultation communication plan on behalf of nine councils. She advised at Board level, crafted the public-facing narrative, led stakeholder engagement and prepared our proposal to government. She handled difficult media and relationships with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders with impressive strategic ability.

Matt Prosser, Chief Executive, Dorset Council

Georgia is a highly skilled, passionate, committed communications professional who has dedicated all her skill and energy to delivering award-winning communications. She is brave, creative, resilient and the very best person to have in your corner.

Sally Northeast, Associate Director, Communications and Patient Participation, Dorset HealthCare NHS Foundation Trust

As well as spot on professional advice, Georgia has boundless energy and infectious positivity. She’s been a great colleague, someone who I could rely on, achieve great stuff with.

Chris Shephard, Director of Economic Development, BCP Council

Georgia is a strong communications leader: a strategic thinker, a thorough planner, a creative marketer, a trusted advisor to senior leaders, and an inspiring leader of people. Her record speaks for itself: sensitively handling crisis communications, developing creative and impactful campaigns, leading partners through controversial change, and building award-winning teams.

Paul Compton, Head of Communications and Engagement, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service

We worked closely and positively together on the council’s extensive and ambitious transformation programme, with Georgia ensuring excellent change communications was in place focusing on external and internal stakeholders.

Matti Raudsepp, Director of Customer and Transformation, BCP Council

Georgia worked collaboratively with communications leads across Dorset to lead the council’s statutory duty to communicate with the public during the covid19 pandemic. It was her responsibility to ensure public health messages reached local people, so that desired behaviours were achieved and the spread of the virus slowed. Despite the severity and length of the crisis situation, Georgia continued to enthusiastically contribute at a strategic level, bringing creativity to the local campaigns, ensuring messages resonated with an audience of 400,000 people to stimulate them to change their behaviours.
